We city folks are often too sedentary for our own good.  If you work or live in Fort Bonifacio, you can easily change that, because there are so many fitness gyms around. If you are at a loss as to where to start, help is at hand right here.
You need to do some homework before settling on the choice of a fitness gym, because it is best that you stay with one gym for at least a few months to feel the effect from the particular facilities or training. The preparation work starts from knowing what we want to achieve (strengthen our heart, build muscles, tone body shape, or improve agility), and second, what kind of format would keep you interested (in a group, one-on-one with instructor, or on your own, equipment light or heavy), then finally, we consider our budget. Once you have answered these questions, our guide can help you choose the right gym.
Some gyms have a wide range of equipment and a lot of on-site professional help, others have specialized equipment, yet another group gives you more professional help than equipment. If you know how to use the equipment already, and know what you want to do with them, you have more options than people who also need a lot of professional help.
There are gyms that provide a lot of “free” classes, and you know as well as we do, they are not really free. The more classes, the higher will the monthly dues of the gyms be. Consider carefully whether you would want to join a lot of classes, or if a gym’s classes fit your schedule.
The new branch in fitness classes, however, emphasizes the speed and types of exercise you do, so the classes are equipment light, as in circuit training. You are guided to exercise rigorously at a number of stations, with a short break between stations. One term used is ‘functional circuit’, which is an Intense full-body workout that combines resistance training and aerobic training in a circuit based format.
