C’est La Vie (That’s Life)” by Richard Arimado at Galerie Joaquin BGC
Arimado’s perspective is not from an eye level but from the top, creating an interesting and playful interaction between the subject and the viewer. We see scenes and places familiar from memory, with Arimado’s townsfolk giving a sense of spirit on the canvas. In “C’est La Vie”, Arimado’s works are much more bright, vibrant, and harmonious – breathing the essence of communities helping each other strive for a unanimous goal. From Arimado’s point of view, we see his communities occupied in acts of harmonious activity whether in a marketplace, a plaza, or a fishing farm.
