Over 200 delegates from top corporations, business leaders, government, NGO professionals and the academe attended the Sustainability Summit 2018 on August 1 at the Tent of Enderun Colleges, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City ÔÇö to identify and discuss the pressing issues, trends, synergies, challenges and ideate achievable and lasting solutions for one of the worldÔÇÖs most critical sustainability concerns: WATER.
There were five moderated panel sessions during the Summit that specifically talked about water as it relates to scarcity and wastage, energy and agriculture, infrastructure and public health.
According to Enderun Colleges Director for Sustainability Engr. Edmond Maceda, ÔÇ£This year, our summit tackled various sustainable development challenges through the lens of water, our most precious resource which is increasingly scarce and increasingly polluted due to population growth. We were honored to have no less than former Presidential Adviser for Environmental Protection, former LLDA General Manager, and principal author of the Clean Water Act, Dr. Neric Acosta, as keynote speaker and panelist, joined by other distinguished panelists and moderators. All five panels generated flowing conversations and audience interaction, and we are deeply grateful to all our speakers for sharing their time and expert insights. We look forward to developing the partnerships formed and collaborating on next yearÔÇÖs Sustainability Summit 2019 and other spinoff events.ÔÇØ
The event was organized by Enderun Colleges together with AGREA, Forest Foundation Philippines and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources ÔÇô Environmental Management Bureau NCR.
