We did it before and we did it again! We once again gathered dog lovers in The Fort for an activity that fostered camaraderie and encouraged learning among them.
Last Saturday, November 19, 2016, we at TheFortCity.com had our very first Dog LoversÔÇÖ Meet Up at De Jesus Oval, Bonifacio Global City. It was an intimate event that involved participants of the DoggiesÔÇÖ Day Out event held last July. The dog lovers and their furry friends came out as early as 9AM to join in the fun.┬á

Stefi and her Corgi, Twix.
Apart from Twix the Corgi, there also were other cute breeds such as Patchie the Jack Russell, Luna the Beagle, Ms Bubbles the Corgi, Charlie the Shih Tzu and Lucia the Aspin.
Our very good friends from BetterDog Canine Behavior Center, Mr Jojo Isorena and Ms Tina Isorena, were there once again to support the activity.

All eyes and ears were on Mr Jojo Isorena when he did a talk on dog behavior.
Mr Jojo Isorena generously gave his time to educate The Fort dog lovers on pet care. His talk was entitled ÔÇ£Beyond Basics,ÔÇØ which tackled signs and behaviors one should look out for when choosing a dog for a pet. The participants eagerly listened to his lecture and asked relevant questions afterwards.┬á
Of course, another important tip in pet care is to prevent ticks and fleas from infesting our pet’s precious coats. Good thing┬áMerial Philippines┬áhas a product called NexGard┬«┬áAfoxolaner Chewables. It is Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved and proven safe for use in dogs. It contains an ingredient, afoxolaner, that helps treat and control fleas and ticks and keeps killing for a full 30 days. They’re safe, yummy and easy to give to our furry friends. (IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:┬áNexGard┬«┬áis for use in dogs only. The most frequently reported adverse reactions include vomiting, dry/flaky skin, diarrhea, lethargy, and lack of appetite. The safe use of NexGard┬«┬áin pregnant, breeding or lactating dogs has not been evaluated. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures.)
Also present in the event was Ms Marilou Consing, our assigned organizer for the Dog Lovers Group, who was very eager to meet and welcome everybody to the activity. Everyone shared snacks and drinks afterwards and were free to discuss amongst themselves about their pet care experiences. The participants also brought home goodies from Merial Philippines.
It was a joy to see The Fort citizens coming together in one place with one common interest in mind. We hope to see more of you dog lovers on our next meet ups. If you want updates on when the next one will be, just log on to TheFortCity.com and Subscribe for FREE!
