Today, July 21, 2017, Hello Kitty Cafe at 3rd floor of Uptown Mall BGC is finally opened to the public. It had its grand opening with VIPs a few weeks ago, and since then fans have been eagerly looking forward to its opening. We went there today to be one of the first customers to try its food.
We got there at around 11:20am, and the place was half full, so we did not have to wait for a table: Whew, what a relief.
We ordered some food, and looked around while waiting for it to be served. There were many Hello Kitty fans who were already having their lunch. Pasta and shakes seemed to be their favorite. Many cameras and smartphones were held up to snap photos of the food and the photographers themselves.

This little girl was probably the first person who celebrated her birthday at this Hello Kitty Cafe. Notice her Hello Kitty themed outfits!
The menu consists of three pages. The cafe offers a wide range of western food items, from appetisers, main courses, to desserts.

Upon the recommendation of the waitress, we ordered a Moroccan Chicken (P399) for our main course. It was a very healthy dish, as the chicken breast was grilled, and the side dish was a cup of cous cous with chopped vegetables. The chicken was juicy and tasty, but the cous cous was slightly overcooked.
For dessert and coffee, we had a Chocomint Profiterole (P59) and a Mocha Latte (P195), as shown in the featured photo.  Both were absolute eye candies in presentation. The mocha had good espresso and chocolate flavor, but the price was on the steep side.  The chocolate mint cream in the profiterole was delicious. However, the bread was dry and hard. We should have tried one of their cakes instead.
Tip: If you want to try a cake, order a big cake instead of a small one, since a small one costs about a third of a big one but it is much smaller in size. One cake that looked gorgeous but it only had a big size was the dark chocolate cake (P1,499). It looked so cute and elegant that it is tempting for fans and non fans of all ages.
