There are a lot of new restaurants that recently opened around The Fort. But we handpicked the ones that we know would catch your attention just as much as they caught ours. Here’s the list:

SM Aura Premier

1. Providore, GF at SM Aura Premier

This Filipino-Italian restaurant is a venture from the Raintree group who also brought us Stella and Rocket Room as well as Saboten. For Php 195, you can get some pigs in a blanket and their 6 pcs. wings are priced at Php 295. This restaurant has an ambiance of an old school diner with a minimalist twist.

2. Ping Pong Diplomacy, GF at SM Aura Premier

A Chinese-American fusion restaurant that was developed by Tasteless Group, the group that also brought Hole in the Wall in Makati. Their prices are fairly competitive for the food that they serve. You can have Dan Dan Chicken Skin Rice for Php 285 if you’re looking for something quite new but also feels familiar. It’s one of the newly opened restaurants in SM Aura Premier.

3. Rico Rico, Food on Four at SM Aura Premier

This paellaria situated right at the heart of Food on Four offers authentic Spanish food and is another project from the La Lola group who are also the masterminds of Las Flores and Tomatito. A solo paella vegetales is Php 225 and a glass of sangria is priced at Php 99. You can also customize your paella by choosing the base, your preferred topping and aioli.

4. CIBO, GF at SM Aura Premier

CIBO is one of the classic Italian restaurants people have always known for good and comforting food.┬áInternational chef and restaurateur Margarita “Gaita” For├®s, who was named Asia’s Best Female Chef of 2016, is the owner of the CIBO chain of Italian restaurants. ┬áNow Fort Bonifacio has its very own branch of CIBO. Their pastas are a must if you haven’t tried their food yet. You can get their spaghettini al tris di formaggio or their three cheese pasta for Php 370.

South of Market

5. Blugre, at South of Market

This newly opened specialty coffee shop is from Davao that opened their first branch in Metro Manila on Feb 10. You can get their Durian Coffeeccino (tall) at Php 160 and Dutertea (tall) at Php 160 as well.

Serendra Piazza

6. Eat City, GF at Serendra Piazza

This restaurant offers a good variety of food that can go from pastas and rice meals to burgers. They have a very casual interior and at Php 160, you can enjoy their Penne with Kale & Malunggay pasta. It is situated across MarketMarket mall in Serendra Piazza. They also deliver to nearby offices and homes (09323014366 / 7192635).

Forbes Town Road

7. Dwntown Halsted, at Burgos Parklane, Forbes Town Road

This bar+bistro (also shown in featured photo) offers more than the usual set of drinks you’d see on any other places. They have a wide selection of whiskeys from different countries. The food is a combination of homegrown flavors with an international twist. A good one to try out is their Braised Pork Belly at Php 550.

Mckinley Hill

8. Cafe del Mar, at Venice Grand Canal in Mckinley Hill

One of the newly opened restaurants in Mckinley Hill is Cafe del Mar. It is a Filipino-Italian restaurant that has a cozy ambiance and has live singers. They have outdoor seating to showcase the Venice themed mall and also serves cocktails. Food selection is a bit limited, but this is mainly a drinking place.

9. Empire Bar, at Venice Grand Canal Mall

Empire Bar occupies the most desirable bar location in the whole of Venice Grand Canal Mall,as can be seen from the photo. It is actually an extension of Cafe Del Mar, and the menu is the same. Empire Bar was opened on Feb 14, 2017.

10. Travel Bean, 3rd floor, Venice Grand Canal Mall

This establishment, which is still on dry run, combines two businesses into one. It is a coffee shop with a travel agent, and the overall theme is that of air travel. Even the announcements that they play on the loudspeaker is that for boarding of passengers to a plane.

Uptown Bonifacio

9. Backyard Kitchen + Brew, 4th Floor at Uptown Place Mall

The newest branch of this restaurant which is co-owned by a celebrity DJ (Sam YG) recently opened its doors at Uptown Mall. The ambiance is very casual. The food varies from lunch deals that starts at Php 249 to soups, sandwiches, salads, mains and the famous brew kettle beer.
