Ibiza is the name of a Spanish island known for its nightlife, electronic music and summer club scene. The owners of Ibiza Beach Club BGC must have had in mind transplanting the vibes of Ibiza to the Philippines when they conceived the idea of building a beach club in the middle of a city. Ibiza Beach Club BGC is a 1000-seat restaurant that is scheduled to open this December at W City Centre, a 29-storey office tower located along 7th Avenue, Fort Bonifacio. You cannot miss that building because of its 3D design with curved balconies that line up to form a big crescent shape on the outside wall of the building.
The restaurant showcases nightly performances by the Ibiza Beach Club Show Team, which is composed of Filipino artists, featuring a 45-minute show of live singing and dancing to retro pop, disco and Latin music, as well as Broadway and movie musical sequences. Its a la carte and tapas menu featuring house-prepared charcuterie, bruschetta, jamon serrano, gambas, imported cheeses, a selection of salads, and starters, the Eivissa paella, seafood marinara, premium steaks, and the Manny O. Signature Wagyu burger.
Ibiza Beach Club was a brainchild of Manny O. and Francisco Beltran, a show and record producer, originally from Mallorca, Spain. The first Ibiza Beach Club was created in Cebu City in 2012. The core idea of Ibiza Beach Club is to combine entertainment with dining, while the overall theme is a place where one could be barefoot yet elegant, loose yet refined.
Entertainers of the club are trained by the IBC Performing Arts Academy, a performing arts school spearheaded by Francisco Beltran, Entertainment Director of Ibiza Beach Club Inc.; Ayam Eckstein of Repertory Philippines, Trumpets Playshop and Stages Productions, Company Manager of IBCPAAI,; Randy Salvador of Nine Works Theatrical, Production Manager of IBCPAAI; Arnold Trinidad, of Nine Works Theatrical, Lead Choreographer of IBCPAAI; and Elisa Aurelio, a graduate of FIDM in Los Angeles.
We do not know how far the club's construction is finished as of today (Dec 5, 2016), but we eagerly look forward to its opening.
