The bigger of the two milk tea shops in this mall, Macao Imperial Milk Tea has its own shop space decorated with a huge teddy bear. Its milk tea drinks are known for the buttery flavor, which it achieves by coating the cups with a layer of butter.
You may ask, what is the difference between Macao milk tea and Taiwanese milk tea? I guess it is the butter. Macao is a place that was governed by the Portuguese before, so maybe the liking for butter came from that history. But honestly, we do not even know if this shop is really from Macao.
They have a big selection of milk tea varieties, some of which are a little unique, such as their chestnut cream selection.
It is disappointing though, their snacks do not include anything uniquely Macao, not even the egg tarts, let alone Portuguese curry chicken.
