Join us in celebrating the International Day of Scientific Culture 2024 (IDSC 2024) in our special event “Science Kwentuhan: How can we use our storytelling culture to promote science?”
Science involves humans working together to figure out how the natural world works. From making a guess about why an observed phenomenon happened, to discussing and debating likely explanations for a given experimental result, the act of connecting causes and effects in a logical way is an important part of the scientific process. In other words, the act of telling stories that other people can follow and understand is at the heart of science.
Join the Mind Movers as we look into how our explanations of the natural world can be viewed as stories, and that familiarity with the tools of storytelling can be used to help us better promote a scientific culture.
This activity is free and open to the public. Slots are limited and given on a first-come first-served basis.
Date: September 28, 2024 (Saturday)
