In an effort to recognize and celebrate the outstanding sustainability practices of the winners from the recently concluded Nordic Sustainability Awards Ceremony, the Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines is pleased to extend an invitation to the upcoming Sustainability Committee Meeting on 21 June 2023. Prepare to be inspired as we feature the winners of the Nordic Sustainability Awards in each category.
The 13th Sustainability Committee Meeting will feature the winner of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise of the Year: RiverRecycle Philippines Inc., for their holistic solution to addressing the pressing issue of global ocean plastic pollution.
We have invited Mr. Fidel Ventura, Director of Business Development, RiverRecycle Philippines to share the organization’s mission of closing the loop on plastic waste and help establish an effective local waste management system. He will also share the RiverRecycle project on the Pasig River in preventing plastic from reaching the ocean, thereby enhancing marine health and underwater biodiversity. Additionally, he will discuss how this effort generates a positive social impact by converting plastic pollution into employment opportunities and economic benefits. Importantly, the organization’s long-term sustainability focus and ensuring commercial viability by diversifying its revenue streams.
NordCham invites all stakeholders from the government, private sector, sustainability professionals and advocates, and anyone interested to learn about RiverRecycle’s purpose and long-term goal of addressing the issue of plastic pollution. Join this in-person event at the Spaces, World Plaza, BGC, on 21 June 2023 (Wednesday) from 3:30 – 6:00 PM.
