From the outside, the nine-story University of the Philippines (UP) Professional Schools at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) appears to be completed. As regards when they will start accepting students, only the admission office of UP can answer that. Since the target students are people working or living in the Fort Bonifacio area, if we hear anything about this, we will post it on our site.

Entrance to the building is from 38th Street. It is located between International School Manila and Treston International Colleges.

Construction of the Schools at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) began on May 28, 2014, with UP and SM officials holding a ground-breaking ceremony at the site.

The construction of the structure and the provision of facilities are funded by SM Investments Corp. to the tune of P400 million as donation to the University. Under an agreement with UP, SM and SM Prime Holdings, Inc. have committed to supervise the construction and delivery of the building and all its facilities. The building will feature classrooms, function rooms, a multi-purpose hall, auditorium, libraries, a computer laboratory, faculty and student lounges, cafeteria, coffee shop, two basement parking floors and administration facilities, among others.

The 4,300 square meter land was donated by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in July 2011. It is located beside the International School Manila at Bonifacio Global Cityร”ร‡ร–s Institutional Area and near Market! Market! Mall.

The building was designed by WV Cosculluela & Associates (WVCA) after review and approval by the UP and SM.
