Venice Grand Canal Mall at McKinley Hill is a newly opened restaurant hub. That’s right, it is not much of a retail shopping mall, as most shops opening there are restaurants. TGI Friday, Yellow Cab Pizza, Serenitea are three of the food establishments already opened there. But we want to show you restaurants that you do not see in other malls.

Ramen Kuroda, 3rd Floor

It is a simple looking ramen restaurant that offers ramen at reasonable prices. It has both indoor and outdoor sitting area. The outdoor area overlooks the Venice Grand Canal, which adds a lot of value to the restaurant.

With such advantages, this restaurant is worth a try, even though it does not fit the Venice theme of the mall.

If you want to get immersed in the Venice theme, then you have many Italian restaurants to choose from already, and more are coming.

Toni and Sergio, Ground Floor

Toni and Sergio is conveniently located on the ground floor of the Venice Grand Canal Mall. If you come in from the supermarket side of the mall, it is a few meters after you turn right.

You can find an Italian making the pizza in the open kitchen. How is that for an authentic Italian restaurant experience?

Pizza is really the strength of this restaurant. Their pasta such as bolognese (P385) and carbonara (P325) are also quite good. We would not recommend the break bread (P285) though.

The Meatball Revolution, Ground Floor

It is located at one end of the Grand Canal.

Its menu is simple, and the prices look reasonable.

Rice and Dough, Ground Floor

The restaurant offers a very innovative menu, sushi and pizza, which is great if it is executed well, else it is a disaster. So far, it has received mixed reviews.

One thing that many patrons have agreed is that their sushi is huge. So each order should be shared by at least two persons.

The description of the Inception roll is quite intriguing. We are still wondering if it is a typo error.

Gran Caffe Lavena, Realto Bridge

There is a Caffe Lavena in the real Venice, and this one reproduces the glamorous interior of many Venetian cafes to the hilt.

The cafe is owned by an Italian. The prices charged are also like Venice level, but you get to experience the unique ambiance. An order of dessert, like this moist chocolate cake, is big enough for at least two persons who are watching their weight, so do not be shy to share.
