Bonifacio Global City has been organizing new year countdown parties in the middle of Bonifacio High Street for several years, but none as big as the latest one, in terms of attendees.

5th Avenue was closed between 28th and 30th streets since two days ago to allow for the setting up of the stages and lighting. Performances started at around 8PM.

This was the first time that One Bonifacio High Street Mall became part of the countdown party, as people went in the restaurants that had outdoor view of 5th Ave to absorb the party ambience. As midnight approached, some even sat on the staircase that faced 5th Avenue.

One Bonifacio Park also was occupied by party goers.

A lot of people stayed in the open area between Central Square and Block C2 of BHS as well, as they were more keen on taking a good spot to enjoy the fireworks expected to start at midnight than to be near the stage. In any case, there was a large LED screen at the bridgeway across the C2 and C3 blocks that allowed people to watch the performances from the other side.

To find out how the party atmosphere was like in other parts of BHS, we walked towards Serendra Piazza from 5th Avenue, at around 11pm.

From One Bonifacio High Street Mall to Fully Booked, there were quite a few restaurants still opened for the New Year party goers. Serendra Piazza was quiet, though, maybe because it is a residential area, and restaurants may receive complaints if they stayed open until late night.

At midnight, the firework started. It lasted for ten minutes, and during that time, we turned around and saw firework coming from behind the Serendra area. Party goers were entertained by fireworks at both ends of Bonifacio High Street. What a night!
