You will not find the announcement about allowing dine-in in Taguig City’s Facebook pages, but it is in the Facebook page of Department of Trade and Industry, under Category III.

Taguig City announces more clarifications regarding outdoor activities, after an incident in which a mother who wanted to bring her child to play at Burgos Circle Park was accosted by several women in military uniform. 

Children are allowed to go out to exercise, as long as social distancing is observed and face masks are worn, and they do not engage in contact sports or go to playgrounds. These guidelines can be found in full in the Facebook page of “Safe City Taguig”.

On May 13, the Inter Agency Task Force of the Philippine Government announces that Metro Manila will be in Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine from May 16, 2020. We are waiting for Taguig City to announce the rules.

On April 23, the Philippine President announced the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro Manila and several provinces in Luzon until May 15, 2020.

The number of confirmed cases have climbed sharply, most likely in part due to more tests being done. The rise in number of confirmed cases should be expected, and should not discourage us from doing more tests. We can only fight if we can see the enemy, and not pretend that it is not there.

Drive through COVID-19 centers in Taguig City announced. Tests done in 23 barangays. It would be interesting to see the test results, since before that, all tests in Taguig City were done only in St Luke’s Medical Center in BGC.

It would be interesting to see how the numbers change after the tests done in barangays outside Fort Bonifacio are in. Without testing on a broader geographical area, the number of confirmed cases may biase towards the place where testing is available.

Barangay Fort Bonifacio announces the issuance of quarantine passes to households in the barangay, which includes BGC.

Only one member of each household is allowed to go out, and only once a day, to get essential goods. It will be administered by the building administrator of each condo building. See announcement below.

Distribution of free food packages to BGC condominiums

Some BGC condominium buildings are said to be receiving relief food packages from Taguig City Hall. On April 6, 2020, it was reported in the news that the Luzon Enhanced Community Quarantine will be extended to the end of April. See report. However, there is no official gazette yet.

Barangay Fort Bonifacio announces that the City Hall will issue quarantine passes to limit the number of persons going out to do essential shopping.

This notice was posted on the Facebook page of Bonifacio Global City on March 26 at 3PM. BGC is a private development within the administrative district called Fort Bonifacio, which is part of Taguig City. We cannot find a similar announcement in the Facebook Page of Taguig City Hall or Barangay Fort Bonifacio.

Taguig City Hall issues COVID Bulletin No. 11 regarding Enhanced Quarantine.

Later that day, Barangay Fort Bonifacio, the barangay that BGC belongs to, issued an announcement regarding community pass.
