Under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for Luzon to combat COVID-19, and the additional Taguig lockdown, all shops except supermarkets, grocery stores, banks and pharmacies, restaurants that provide food takeout and a few other establishments are closed. (For latest announcements by the authorities, read this.)

We have collected the following information regarding groceries, pharmacies and restaurant takeout for your information. We will update and add more information if possible.

Supermarkets

When is the best time to go to supermarket during the ECQ is a study of group behavior. We have had to wait nearly two hours to get in a supermarket at one time, while at other times there are no line at all at the same supermarket.

Before April 26, supermarkets were busiest during weekends. But on April 26, a Sunday, few shoppers were seen at supermarkets across BGC. On a Wednesday April 26, however, there was still a line of over a dozen shoppers waiting outside Central Square to get in the supermarket at the basement.

Forbestown Road Robinson’s Selections : 9am to 6pm. However, they often close 15 minutes early. 

SM Aura Premier : 9am to 7pm. Free Parking.

Central Square Marketplace: 9am to 6pm. Free parking. It has an express lane if you buy less than 8 items.

MarketMarket Metro Supermarket : 9am to 5pm, but last entry is 4pm. Meat stalls start emptying the displays from 4pm.

SnR Membership Shopping : SnR’s announced opening hour is 11am to 5pm, but often they let people go in even at 10:30am.

Bakery and Specialty Coffee

Lartizan French Bakery at Serendra Piazza has opened since April 15.

Toby Estate’s Cafe at ground floor of Shangri La at the Fort is now open for takeout.

BreadTalk at Bonifacio High Street is open from 11am to 6pm. The restaurant at the same location, Nanyang, is also open for takeout / delivery.

Tous Les Jours, the Korean French bakery at Serendra Piazza, sells cakes until 6pm.

Tim Horton’s Bakery and Coffee at 4th Avenue near Shangri-La at the Fort is open from 9am to 4pm.

Bake House at Shangri-La at the Fort is open from 7am to 8pm. Apart from baked goods, they also serve Toby’s Estate coffee.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Burgos Circle is open from 8am to 6pm. Their branch at Bonifacio High Street is also open.

Pharmacies

Mercury Drug Store has several branches in BGC. The one across St. Luke’s Medical Center has shortened hours, 7am to 7pm.

Watson’s Pharmacys branch at Bonifacio Technology Center, 1st Avenue, opens from 11am to 7pm.

Healthy Options at G/F of Uptown Mall is open to sell nutritional supplements.

Other grocery stores

Santis Delicatissen near Central Square and sells imported meat and food items, displays a sign that says it opens earlier, from 8am to 6pm. But it appears that it opens only until around 5pm.

Korean grocery store at 30th street, Fort Palm Spring Condo, opens 24 hours and has some grocery items that includes local vegetables and Korean meat cuts. Korean grocery store near Burgos Circle opens from 10am to 8pm.

There is also a Korean store at Fort Entertainment Complex, and it seems well stocked with water and noodles, amongst other items.

Restaurant takeout

If you are tired of home cooking or fast food, there are a few restaurants in BGC that offer takeout or food delivery. Below are some of them. Most of them have shortened hours, and many close at 5 pm, or even 4pm.

Bonifacio High Street:

NEW : Newly opened restaurants include Mango Tree Thai Restaurant, Nanbantei Japanese Restaurant, as well as FRNK Milk Bar.

In One Bonifacio High Street Mall, Botejyu, M Bakery, and Wolfgang Steak are open.

Fire Tiger milk drinks opens from 10am to 6pm.

FowlBread, a takeout place for chicken sandwiches, is open.

TGI Friday’s can accept orders from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., 8856-2997 | 0995-481-4847.

Go Bento Japanese at 9th Avenue is open.

OOMA Japanese Restaurant opens from 11am to 5:30pm.

Raging Bull Burgers, 30th Street (Shangri-La at the Fort).

Din Tai Fung is open for takeout from 12 noon. However, the menu is very limited.

Tiger Sugar near Fully Booked store is open from 11am to 6pm.

Fort Entertainment Complex:

At least two Korean restaurants are open for takeout or delivery : BBQ Chicken and Matsuya Japanese/Korean Restaurant (closed on Sundays).

Also Sisig Society and Heaven BBQ.

West Crescent / Forbestown Road:

Persia Grill, and Keizo Japanese Restaurant (8403-3839) in condo buildings are open daily. Teriyaki Boy, Yellow Cab Pizza and Pancake House at Burgos Eats are sometimes open.

Along Forbestown Road, Watering Hole (11am to 7pm), Bugsy’s, Bistro Madrid (11am to 7pm) and Noor Mediterrean Restaurant (10am to 6:30pm)

At BGC Stopover Pavillion, Tenya Tendon Restaurant (opens until 12 mn), Recovery Food, and the Milk Tea booth Dragon T at the ground floor.

Serendra Piazza

These restaurants are open for takeout (but at times can be closed without notice):

[New:] Taikoo HK Roast sells Hong Kong style roasted meat and rice meals. It opens  from 11am to 6pm

Conti’s Bakery and Restaurant. There is always a long line outside.

Motto Motto Japanese Restaurant

Saboten Japanese katsu restaurant

Wangfu Chinese Restaurant

L’Epicurie French Cafe opens from 10am to 5pm

Other places

Forum : The Cook Korean Italian Restaurant opens from 11am to 8pm

Net Park : Green Pasture and Motorino Pizza are now open for takeout.

Under Enhanced Community Quarantine and Taguig lockdown, only some branches of fastfood chains are open
