Some travel destinations in the Philippines require visitors to take antigen tests. We list below several places in or near BGC, obtained by crowd sourcing, i.e. provided by BGC residents through social media such as Facebook and Viber groups.

Savepoint Plus BGC Drive thru

8AM to 5:30PM daily

They are now accepting walk-in and drive thru clients who would like to avail of their COVID-19 Swab Antigen and Rapid Antibody Testing in their BGC site.

Register to www.imfitow.com and go to 30th East B along 30th st cor 9th st in Fort Bonifacio Global City Taguig.

Their new rates as of October 5, 2021, are as shown in their poster below:

Despite they say they are open for walk-in, it seems safer to make appointment first so that you do not waste time going there and find out that they are not open, if you read the comments on their FB page.

They added Antigen Saliva test in Feb 2021 for P2,000. We went there on February 23 morning, without appointment, and managed to have our antigen saliva test done within 30 minutes, and then got the results through email in less than an hour. It was super easy to give saliva sample. Just cough and spit into a small paper pouch that they provide, and that is it.

Other places suggested by BGC residents for COVID-19 antigen testing are:

mdoncall.ph : Antigen test P2,600

LabMobile : this lab offers testing in Makati on selected days.

FB post:” The schedule of our drive-thru services are as follows:

Monday – 4566 Molina st. Brgy. Poblacion, Makati

Wednesday – Santuario De San Antonio Church, Forbes Park, Makati

Friday – Magallanes Barangay Hall, Makati”

Telecure: this is located far from BGC in Manila, but offers home service.

Medicoglobal :

TAGUIG BRANCH 56 Bayani Road, Western Bicutan, Taguig City. Contact numbers: 8380918 GLOBE 09054647389. SMART 09288937264

In case you are wondering, St Luke Medical Center BGC does not offer COVID-19 antigen test, only PCR-RT test. The Medical City Market Market branch was not reachable.

A BGC resident suggests that when we look for COVID test centers: some places that offer tests are actually not accredited by the authorities, so the test result may not be accepted by the local authorities if they are really strict about it. We have not checked all the clinics listed here, so this is a ‘buyer’s beware’ thing. The fact is, there are so few ‘licensed’ COVID centers that it would be impossible to meet the demand created by the LGUs and resorts. Check the list here, most of which are for PCR-RT tests only. In fact, even the testing partner of Philippine Airlines is not on the list.

Some resorts or airlines (as mentioned above) have partnered with certain diagnostic clinics to do the antigen tests for their clients, which is often more convenient and cheaper than third party testing centers.

COVID-19 home service

Some people need to have a COVID-19 test done at home. LabLife’s Manila South lab seems to be favored by some BGC residents.

Zennya Health app has been mentioned by quite a few BGC residents who have used their Antigen test service done at home, and seemed happy. P2,500 per person.

Barangay Medical Certificate

Because Bonifacio Global City is a private development within Fort Bonifacio, residents in BGC normally do not have interaction with the barangay hall or its services, except for those who own properties or businesses in BGC and have to go to the City Hall to make payments to the city and the barangay offices.

Therefore, when we realized that, for some of the resorts that we wanted to visit, their local governments require visitors to obtain a medical certificate from their barangay, we panicked, as we had no idea how and where to do that.

It turns out it is not that difficult to get the Fort Bonifacio medical certificate. We were given some phone numbers by other BGC residents. Call their office at (02) 8642-1262, or 09617340814, 09178331327. Give names, dates of birth or age, and address. They will say when they can release the medical certificate. The health center is located near Chino Roxas Extension, and at the end of a road that shares the entrance with Beacon International School.
